This week on The Art 2 Aging, we have a powerful story about turning fear into self-belief.
It’s a story about how Gary Buzzard realized his dream of becoming a writer and what he had to deal with internally to get to the point where he felt enough courage to take the plunge.
Gary had always wanted to be and call himself a writer but his inner voice – the one we can call the “ego voice” – told him he couldn’t do it. That nobody would think his writing was any good. That he had nothing really important to say, anyway.
That was a real struggle for him. But it’s one that he finally conquered when he was in his 70s.
Today, at the age of 79, Gary starts his days with meditation before heading to his laptop to continue his personal journey as a writer who is widely read.
If you are a writer or want to write, then Gary’s story will ring loud and clear for you.
